For My Closest Stranger

Back then we had all the time in the world
Staying up whole day and night for the boy and the girl
Whom we lived behind underneath our masks
Laughing and crying for moments that did last
All the jokes, the swings, the scorpion, the capricorn
And the quotes, the twinges, the lumps, the eyes forlorn
Now left scattering around, piece by piece
Tell me, am I the only one who would reminisce?

Photo is another undone portrait of my ‘friend’ that I tried to capture the soul and failed.
